My father narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. al-Hasan al-Mu’addab narrated to us from Ahmad b. `Ali al-Isfahani from Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi. He said: Ibrahim b. Musa the son of the sister of al-Waqidi, a shaykh of the Ansar. He said: Abu Qutada al-Harrani narrated to us from `Abd al-Rahman b. Abi’l `Ala’ al-Hadrami from Sa`id b. al-Musayyib from Abi’l Hamra’. He said:

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: On the night of the Night Journey, I saw [the following] written on a pillar of the Throne: “I am Allah. There is no god but Me. I created the Paradise of Eden with My two hands. Muhammad is My elite one from My creation, and I have aided him with `Ali, and I have supported him with `Ali.”
