My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: `Abbad b. Sulayman narrated to us from Muhammad b. Sulayman from his father Sulayman al-Daylami from `Umayr b. al-Harith from `Imran b. Maytham from Abi Sukhayla. He said: I met Aba Dharr and said: O Aba Dharr! I have seen schism, so what do you order me to do?

He said: Betake to these two things: The Book of Allah and Shaykh `Ali b. Abi Talib , for I have heard the Messenger of Allah (s) say: He is the first to believe in me, and he will be the first to shake hands with me on the Day of Resurrection. He is the Great Saint (al-siddiq al-akbar), and he is the Distinguisher (al-faruq) who will distinguish between truth and falsehood.
