Ahmad b. Harun al-Fami narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abdullah b. Ja`far al-Himyari narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me from Harun b. Muslim from Mas`ada b. Sadaqa from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers . The Messenger of Allah (s) said:

When Allah saw the people of a village commit an excessive number of sins, it had three believers in it. He called to them: “O people of disobedience to Me! Were it not for the believers among you, who love by My majesty, establish prayer in My land and in My mosques, and repent at night out of fear of Me, I would have descended My chastisement upon you and not cared.”
