Ahmad b. Ziyad narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father. He said: Abu Ahmad Muhammad b. Ziyad al-Azdi narrated to us from Aban b. `Uthman and others from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said:

Whoever completes his fast with a good saying or a good action, Allah will accept his fast. So, it was said to him: O son of the Messenger of Allah! What is the good saying? He said: The testimony that there is no god but Allah; and the good action is giving out [zakat] al-Fitra.
