Ya`qub b. Yusuf b. Ya`qub the jurist and shaykh of the people of Ray narrated to us. He said: Isma`il b. Muhammad al-Saffar al-Baghdadi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Ubayd b. `Utba al-Kindi narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. Sharik narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from al-A`mash from `Ata’. He said: I asked `A’isha about `Ali b. Abi Talib , so she said:

That is the best of people; no one disputes that except a disbeliever.
