Muhammad b. Ibrahim narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Sa`id al-`Askari narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. `Ali b. al-Aswad al-`Ijli narrated to us. He said: `Abd al-Hamid b. Yahya Abu Yahya al-Hamani narrated to us. He said: Abu Bakr al-Hadhali narrated to us from al-Zuhri from `Ubaydullah b. `Abdullah from Ibn `Abbas. He said:

When the month of Ramadan would begin, the Messenger of Allah (s) would free every captive and give to every beggar.
