48- قال وحدثني جعفر بن سليمان عن داود الصرمي عن علي بن أبي حمزة قال قال لي أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: من جاءك فقال لك إنه مرض ابني هذا وأغمضه وغسله ووضعه في لحده ونفض يده من تراب قبره فلا تصدقه.
H 48 - He said: and Ja’far bin Sulaiman narrated to me, from Dawood Sarmi, from Ali bin Hamza who said, "Abu 'Abdillah عليه السلام said to me: 'Whoever comes to you and says to you that this son of mine [Imam Kadhim عليه السلام] became sick, and he [Imam as-Sadiq عليه السلام] closed his eyes, washed him, placed him in his grave, and shook off the dust from his grave, do not believe him.'"
<p class='libAr' dir='rtl'>فهذا الخبر رواه ابن أبي حمزة وهو مطعون عليه وهو واقفي وسنذكر ما دعاه إلى القول بالوقف.على أنــه لا يمتنع أن يكون المراد به الـرد على من ربما يدعي أنه تولى تمريضه وغسله ويكون في ذلك كاذبا لأنه مرض في الحبس ولم يصل إليه من يفعل ذلك وتولى بعض مواليه على ما قدمناه غسله وعند قوم من أصحابنا تولاه ابنه.فيكون قصد البيان عن بطلان قول من يدعي ذلك.Explanation: Firstly, this report is narrated by Abu Hamza, who is condemned for being Waqifite and soon it will be explained what a Waqifite is. Secondly, it is possible that the report aims to refute those who claim that he served the Imam during his illness and after the Imam’s martyrdom he gave the funeral bath to him. Since the Imam was in prison it was not possible for anyone to visit him or as mentioned before, a follower of the Imam gave the funeral bath to him, but as most of our scholars believe, his son [Imam Reza عليه السلام] performed the final rites of the Imam [which is perfectly correct]. So, the aim of the report is to refute the claims of others.
