1 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ وَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِي ره عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ الطِّينُ كُلُّهُ حَرَامٌ كَلَحْمِ الْخِنْزِيرِ وَ مَنْ أَكَلَهُ ثُمَّ مَاتَ مِنْهُ لَمْ أُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا طِينَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فَإِنَّ فِيهِ شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَ مَنْ أَكَلَهُ بِشَهْوَةٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِيهِ شِفَاءٌ
1. Muḥammad ibn Ya’qūb and all of my scholars narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Abī Yaḥyā Al-Wāsiťi, from someone who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ) said: (Eating from) any clay is unlawful just like (eating) the flesh of a swine. If anyone eats from any clay which leads to his death, I will not establish prayers on him, except the clay of the grave of Ḥusain
, for verily it contains the cure for every disease. (However) anyone who eats it to satisfy a craving will not find any cure in it.
