1. My father and a group narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from someone, who said: Abul Ḥasan (Imam Riďā ) sent me some clothes that were wrapped up, in the middle of which there was some clay. I asked the person who had brought the clothes about this clay. He said, “It is the clay of the grave of Ḥusain . He (Imam Riďā ) does not send clothes or anything else to anyone without putting some of this clay within it and he says, ‘It is protection with the permission of Allāh.”
