2. Muḥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far narrated to me from his father, from ‘Ali ibn Muḥammad ibn Sālim, from Muḥammad ibn Khālid, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Ḥammād Al-Basri, from ‘Abdillāh ibn ‘Abdil Raḥmān Al-Asam, from Ibn Bukayr, who said: I said to Abī ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq ), “I (often) travel to Arjān and my heart pulls me toward going to the Ziyārah of the grave of your father (Ḥusain
). However, when I go, I am afraid; I dread the rulers, their governors, and their armed men until I return.” Imam
said: O son of Bukayr! Do you not want Allāh to see you in fear for us?! Do you not know that Allāh will shelter those who are in fear because of our fear under the shade of His Throne, and that Ḥusain
will be speaking to them under the Throne?! (Do you not know) that Allāh will keep them safe from the terrors of the Day of Judgment?! They will not be afraid while others will be terrified. And if they do get scared, the angels will pacify them and soothe their hearts by giving them glad tidings.
