My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from ‘Abdillāh ibn Aḥmad, from ‘Umar ibn Sahl, from ‘Ali ibn Mus-hir Al-Qurashi, who said: My grandmother told me that she was alive at the time of the killing of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali . She said, “The heavens turned red like blood after the killing of Ḥusain for one year and nine months, and we could not (even) see the sun.”
