6. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Sinān, from Abī Sa’īd Al-Qammāť, from Ibn Abī Ya’fūr, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq عليه السلام) said: One day when the Messenger of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم was in the house of Fāťimah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, Ḥusain عليه السلام was sitting on his lap. Suddenly the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم started to cry and fell in Sujūd. (After raising his head) he said: O Fāťimah, daughter of Muḥammad! (Allāh) the Most High, the Most Exalted just appeared to me in your house in the most beautiful form and appearance and asked me, “O Muḥammad! Do you love Ḥusain عليه السلام?” I replied, “He is the light of my eyes, the fruit of my heart, my flower (in this life), and the skin between my two eyes.” Allāh said: O Muḥammad! – and He placed His hand on the head of Ḥusain عليه السلام – Blessed is this newborn baby upon whom I have sent My prosperity, blessings, mercy, and pleasure. And My blame, curse, wrath, chastisement, disgrace, and punishment are upon those who antagonize him, fight him, incite (the people) against him, and kill him. Verily he is the Master of Martyrs from the first to the last in this life and in the Hereafter. Verily he is the Master of the Youth of Paradise from among all of the creation and his father is more graceful and higher (in rank) than he is. (O Muḥammad!) Convey My Salām to him and give him glad tidings that he is the flag of My guidance, the lighthouse for My friends, My trustee and witness over My creation, the keeper of My knowledge, and My Decisive Proof on the inhabitants of the heavens and the earths, and on all of mankind and Jinn.
