1. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, (from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Faďďāl), from ‘Isā ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Umar ibn ‘Ali ibn Abī Ťālib , from his father, from his grandfather, who said: ‘Ali, (the Commander of the Believers
), said: Water is the master of drinks in this world and in the Hereafter. Four of the rivers in this world are from Paradise: the Euphrates, the Nile, the Sayḥān, and the Jayḥān. The Euphrates (contains) water, the Nile (contains) honey, the Sayḥān (contains) wine, and the Jayḥān (contains) milk.
