وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی أَبُو مُعَاوِیَهَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ عُمَیْرٍ التَّیْمِیِّ قَالَ: لَمَّا جِی ءَ بِرَأْسِ عُبَیْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِیَادٍ لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَ رُءُوسِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَلَیْهِمْ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ قَالَ انْتَهَیْتُ إِلَیْهِمْ وَ النَّاسُ یَقُولُونَ قَدْ جَاءَتْ قَالَ فَجَاءَتْ حَیَّهٌ تَتَخَلَّلُ الرُّءُوسَ حَتَّی دَخَلَتْ فِی مَنْخِرِ عُبَیْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِیَادٍ لَعْنَهُ اللَّهِ عَلَیْهِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَتْ فَدَخَلَتْ فِی الْمَنْخِرِ الْآخَرِ.
9. And from the previous chain from Umar b. Sa’d who said it was narrated to me by Abu Muawiyah from al-’Amash from Ammar b. ’Umayr al-Taymi who said: Ammar bin Umair Tamimi narrates that when the heads of the cursed Ubaidullah bin Ziyad and his companions were brought, people were saying that a snake was wrapped around his head and it went inside the head of Ubaidullah through a nostril. Then it came out and, entered the second nostril.
