أَبِی ره عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع کَانَتِ الْفُقَهَاءُ وَ الْحُکَمَاءُ إِذَا کَاتَبَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضاً کَتَبُوا بِثَلَاثٍ لَیْسَ مَعَهُنَّ رَابِعَهٌ مَنْ کَانَتِ الْآخِرَهُ هَمَّهُ کَفَاهُ اللَّهُ هَمَّهُ مِنَ الدُّنْیَا وَ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ سَرِیرَتَهُ أَصْلَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَانِیَتَهُ وَ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ فِیمَا بَیْنَهُ وَ بَیْنَ اللَّهِ أَصْلَحَ اللَّهُ فِیمَا بَیْنَهُ وَ بَیْنَ النَّاسِ.


1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) narrates from his predecessors that Amirul Momineen (a.s) said, “It is the habit of jurists and wise people to advise about three things in their every letter written to each other. Nothing else was present among them; that is one who is only worried about the hereafter, Allah will fulfill his worldly wishes and needs. Allah improves the exterior of one who improves his interior and one who develops good between himself and Allah, Allah develops good between him and the people.”
