وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْحُسَیْنِ بْنِ سَعِیدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِی عُمَیْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ:
کُنَّ نِسَاءُ النَّبِیِّ ص إِذَا کَانَ عَلَیْهِنَّ صِیَامٌ أَخَّرْنَ ذَلِکَ إِلَی شَعْبَانَ کَرَاهِیَهَ أَنْ یَمْنَعْنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص حَاجَتَهُ وَ إِذَا کَانَ شَعْبَانُ صُمْنَ وَ صَامَ مَعَهُنَّ قَالَ وَ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص یَقُولُ شَعْبَانُ شَهْرِی.
9. And from the previous chain from al-Hussain b. Sa’eed from Ibn Abi ’Umayr from Hafs b. al-Bukhtari from Abi Abdillah who said:
“The wives of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) used to put off their obligatory fasts, if any till the month of Shaban so that they do not act as barrier for his desires. As soon as Shaban arrived, they used to start observing fast and the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) also used to observe fast. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) used to say, ‘Shaban is my month’.”
