Al-Kāfi - Volume 2 > Envy
Hadith #4

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfali from al-Sakuni from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) who has said the following: ‘‘The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Poverty can almost be disbelief, and envy may almost overcome (disable) the power of an envying person.’”
