34 - محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن المطلب، الشيباني، أبو المفضل. وضاع، كثير المناكير. رأيت كتبه، وفيها الأسانيد من دون المتون، والمتون من دون الأسانيد. وأرى ترك ما ينفرد به.
34 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. al-Muṭṭalib, al-Shaybānī, Abū Mufaḍḍal. A fabricator, (he narrated) much that is denied. I saw his books and in them are isnads without texts and texts without isnads. I regard (that one must) abandon what he exclusively (narrates).
