5-34 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar quoted Muhammad ibn Ahmad, on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad, on the authority of Abu Abdullah al-Razi, on the authority of Sajada, on the authority of Durost, on the authority of Abi Khalid al-Sejestani that Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq (MGB) said,
“One who doesn’t have the following five characteristics shall not be beneficial: being loyal; being a good manager; being modest; having a good temper and the last one is being a freedom-lover which is the combination of all the previously mentioned characteristics.”
