The Birth of Abu Ja‘far, Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s)

وُلِدَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (a.s) سَنَةَ سَبْعٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَقُبِضَ (a.s) سَنَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَمِائَةٍ وَلَهُ سَبْعٌ وَخَمْسُونَ سَنَةً وَدُفِنَ بِالْبَقِيعِ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي الْقَبْرِ الَّذِي دُفِنَ فِيهِ أَبُوهُ عَلِيُّ بن الحسين (عَلَيْهما السَّلام) وَكَانَتْ أُمُّهُ أُمَّ عَبْدِ الله بِنْتَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَلَيْهم السَّلام وَعَلَى ذُرِّيَّتِهِمُ الْهَادِيَةِ.

Abu Ja'far (al-Baqir) (a.s) was born in the year 57 AH and passed away in the year 114 AH at the age of 57. He was buried in Al-Baqi' in Medina in the grave where his father, Ali ibn Husayn (a.s), was also buried. His mother was Umm Abd Allah, the daughter of Imam al-Hasan (a.s).
