A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Nu‘man from Sayf ibn ‘Amira from Abu Bakr al-Hadrami who has said the following: "Ja'da bint al-Ash‘ath ibn Qays al-Kindi poisoned al-Hassan ibn Ali and a female servant of the Imam . The female servant, however, vomited the poison, but in the case of al-Hassan the poison remained in his digestive system and caused swelling that killed him.”
