So the Commander of the Faithful عليه السلام, peace be upon him, also, when he objected, Imam عليه السلام objected to the gathering itself and did not object to the prayer itself. But when Imam Ali عليه السلام saw that the matter would be corrupted for him and that the people would be led into discord, Imam Ali عليه السلام permitted it and ordered them to pray according to their custom. So all of this is clear, praise be to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
