ألا ترى انه عليه السلام لما أنكر الصلاة في شهر رمضان أنكر الاجتماع فيها ولم ينكر نفس الصلاة ولو كان نفس الصلاة منكرا مبتدعا لا نكره كما أنكر الاجتماع فيها ويؤيد ذلك أيضا ما رواه
Do you not see that when Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, peace be upon him, denounced the prayer in the Month of Ramadan, He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم denounced the congregation in it and did not denounce the prayer itself? Had the prayer itself been an objectionable innovation, Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would have denounced it, just as he denounced the congregation. This is also supported by what was narrated:
