قَالَ مُصَنِّفُ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ مَتَى كَانَ الْعَبْدُ مِمَّنْ يُعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ الْإِضْرَارَ بِسَيِّدِهِ لَمْ يُقْطَعْ إِذَا أَقَرَّ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ بِالسَّرِقَةِ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ عَلَيْهِ شَاهِدَانِ قُطِعَ.
The author of this book, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on him, commented: If the slave is known to intend harm to his master, his hand is not to be cut off merely based on his confession of theft. However, if two witnesses testify against him, then his hand is to be cut off.
