ولا يجوز أن تدفع ما يلزم واحد [ا] إلى نفسين. وإن كان لك مملوك مسلم أو ذمي فادفع عنه الفطرة. وإن ولد لك مولود يوم الفطر قبل الزوال فادفع عنه الفطرة استحبابا، وإن ولد بعد الزوال فلا فطرة عليه وكذلك الرجل إذا أسلم قبل الزوال أو بعده فعلى هذا وهذا على الاستحباب والاخذ بالأفضل، فأما الواجب فليست الفطرة إلا على من أدرك الشهر.
However, it is not permissible to divide what is required for one individual between two recipients. If you have a Muslim or non-Muslim (dhimmi) servant, you must give Zakat al-Fitr on their behalf. If a child is born to you on the Day of Eid al-Fitr before noon, it is recommended to pay Zakat al-Fitr for them. If they are born after noon, no Zakat al-Fitr is due on them. Similarly, if a person converts to Islam before or after noon, Zakat al-Fitr is recommended in both cases, as an act of virtue and preference. As for the obligatory Zakat al-Fitr, it is only incumbent on those who have completed the month (i.e., were present during Month of Ramadan).
