504. Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Abaan, from Al-Fazl Abu Al-Abbas, who has narrated the following: Abu Abdullah regarding the Statement of Allah (azwj): “[4:90] or who come to you, their hearts shrinking from fighting you or fighting their own people”, he said: ‘Revealed with regards to the Clan of Mudlaj because they had come to the Rasool Allah ﷺ, so they said, ‘There are restrictions in our chests that we should testify that you ﷺ are the Rasool Allah ﷺ, for we are neither with you ﷺ nor are we with our people against you ﷺ’. So I said, ‘How did the Rasool Allah ﷺ deal with them?’ He said; ‘He ﷺ said that he ﷺ would leave them until he ﷺ was free from dealing with the Arabs, then he ﷺ would call them (to Al-Islam), to see if they answered or else he ﷺ would fight against them’.
