239. Muhammad ibn Yahya reported from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn, from Khalid ibn Yazid Al-Qummi, from some of his companions, from Abu Abdullah regarding the words of Allah, the Exalted: "And they thought that there would be no trial." He said: "When the Prophet ﷺ was among them, they were blind and deaf. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, Allah then accepted their repentance when the Commander of the Faithful
stood up. Then they became blind and deaf until this hour."
