عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مَسْعَدَةَ بْنِ صَدَقَةَ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ أَكْلِ الْجَرَادِ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَكْلِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّهُ نَثْرَةٌ مِنْ حُوتٍ فِي الْبَحْرِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ إِنَّ السَّمَكَ وَ الْجَرَادَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَهُوَ ذَكِيٌّ وَ الْأَرْضُ لِلْجَرَادِ مَصِيدَةٌ وَ لِلسَّمَكِ قَدْ يَكُونُ أَيْضاً .
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated (from his father) from Harun ibn Muslim from Mas’adah ibn Sadaqah who has said the following: “Once abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about using locusts for food. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful . 5 He (the Imam) then said, ‘Locusts are of the small pieces of fish in the ocean . 5 He (the Imam) then said that Ali (a.s.), has said, ‘Locust and fish on being taken out of the water are clean and slaughtered properly. The land is the hunting place of locusts and it can happen in the case of fish also ."
