1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَوَّاضٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ أَيَصْلُحُ لِي أَنْ أُوَاقِعَهَا وَلَمْ أَنْقُدْهَا مِنْ مَهْرِهَا شَيْئاً قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ دَيْنٌ عَلَيْكَ.
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il from Mansur ibn Yunus from ‘Abd al-Hamid ibn ‘Awwad who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about forming marriage terms with a woman; if I can go to bed with her without paying her anything in cash of her mahr (dower). He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so, it is only a debt on you.’”
2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) الرَّجُلُ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ عَلَى الصَّدَاقِ الْمَعْلُومِ يَدْخُلُ بِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُعْطِيَهَا قَالَ يُقَدِّمُ إِلَيْهَا مَا قَلَّ أَوْ كَثُرَ إِلا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَفَاءٌ مِنْ عَرَضٍ إِنْ حَدَثَ بِهِ حَدَثٌ أُدِّيَ عَنْهُ فَلا بَأْسَ.
2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father all from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who marries a woman for a certain amount of mahr (dower) and goes to bed with her without paying anything. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must pay in advance a little or more unless he has a certain asset which is enough to pay her mahr (dower) in case something happens to him, then it is not unlawful.’”
3- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الطَّائِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ وَأَدْخُلُ بِهَا وَلا أُعْطِيهَا شَيْئاً قَالَ نَعَمْ يَكُونُ دَيْناً لَهَا عَلَيْكَ.
3. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from certain persons of his people from ‘Abd al-Hamid al-Ta’iy who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, if I can marry and go to bed with her without paying anything. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so and it is a debt on you.’”
4- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ عَوَّاضٍ الطَّائِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْمَرْأَةَ فَلا يَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ مَا يُعْطِيهَا فَيَدْخُلُ بِهَا قَالَ لا بَأْسَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ دَيْنٌ لَهَا عَلَيْهِ.
4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from ‘Abd al-Hamid ibn ‘Awwad al-Ta’iy who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who marries a woman and does not have anything to pay her and then goes to bed with her. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful; it is a debt on him.’”
