Al-Kāfi - Volume 4 > Fasting As Expiation for Swearing
Hadith #1

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from ‘ Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘All fasts can lawfully be completed in different times except the fast which is as expiation for an oath.”’

Hadith #2

2. It is narrated from him (narrator of previous Hadith) from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘The fast which is as expiation for an oath must be completed without any interval in between.’”

Hadith #3

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Aban from al-Husayn ibn Zayd who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘The seven days and the three days during Hajj are without any interval in between. They are just like three days because of an oath.’”
