Complaining to believers versus unbelievers

Ḥadīth 541

٤٢٧. وَقَالَ (عليه ‏السلام): مَنْ شَكَا الْحَاجَةَ إِلَى مُؤْمِنٍ فَكَأَنَّمَا شَكَاهَا إِلَى اللهِ، وَمَنْ شَكَاهَا إلَى كَافِرٍ فَكَأَنَّمَا شَكَا اللهَ.

427. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: Whoever complains about a need to a believer, it is as though he has complained about it to Allāh; but whoever complains about it to an unbeliever it is as though he complained about Allāh.
