One after Carnal Relation Sweats in His Clothes, Clothes Touch His Wet Body
6 Aḥadīth
Ḥadīth 1

1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أُذَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْجُنُبِ يَعْرَقُ فِي ثَوْبِهِ أَوْ يَغْتَسِلُ فَيُعَانِقُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَيُضَاجِعُهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَوْ جُنُبٌ فَيُصِيبُ جَسَدُهُ مِنْ عَرَقِهَا قَالَ هَذَا كُلُّهُ لَيْسَ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ibn ’Udhaynah from abu ‘Usamah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about one who has experienced sexual relation who perspires in his clothes or takes Ghusl (bath), then hugs his wife or sleeps next to her during her Hayd (menses) or has experienced sexual relation and her perspiration touches his body. He (the Imam) said, ‘All of such things are not harmful.”’

Ḥadīth 2

2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَمِيلِ بْنِ دَرَّاجٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يُصِيبُنِي السَّمَاءُ وَعَلَيَّ ثَوْبٌ فَتَبُلُّهُ وَأَنَا جُنُبٌ فَيُصِيبُ بَعْضَ مَا أَصَابَ جَسَدِي مِنَ الْمَنِيِّ أَ فَأُصَلِّي فِيهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from abu ‘Usamah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about my exposure in the open, under the sky because of which my clothes become wet, while I have experienced sexual relation, and such clothes reach the part of my body which is polluted with semen, can I perform Salah (prayer) in such clothes? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so.’”

Ḥadīth 3

3ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ قَالَ سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) وَأَنَا حَاضِرٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَجْنَبَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ فَيَعْرَقُ فِيهِ فَقَالَ مَا أَرَى بِهِ بَأْساً فَقِيلَ إِنَّهُ يَعْرَقُ حَتَّى لَوْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَعْصِرَهُ عَصَرَهُ قَالَ فَقَطَّبَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي وَجْهِ الرَّجُلِ وَقَالَ إِنْ أَبَيْتُمْ فَشَيْ‏ءٌ مِنْ مَاءٍ يَنْضَحُهُ بِهِ.

3. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn abu Hamzah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once was asked, when I was present, about a man who has experienced sexual relation and perspires in his clothes. He (the Imam) said, ‘I do not find anything harmful in it.’ Someone then said, ‘His perspiration is so much that he can wring it out.’ He (the narrator) said that abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), then glared at the man’s face and said, ‘If you do not mind, in such case, he can use some water to wash it away.’””

Ḥadīth 4

4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ لاَ يُجْنِبُ الثَّوْبُ الرَّجُلَ وَلاَ يُجْنِبُ الرَّجُلُ الثَّوْبَ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Hamzah ibn Humran who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Clothes do not cause one to become as one who has experienced sexual relation and one experiencing sexual relation does not affect his clothes.’”

Ḥadīth 5

5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الثَّوْبِ تَكُونُ فِيهِ الْجَنَابَةُ فَتُصِيبُنِي السَّمَاءُ حَتَّى يَبْتَلَّ عَلَيَّ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ.

5. Muhammad ibn Ahmad has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from abu ‘Usamah who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about clothes in which one has experienced sexual relation and then under the open sky it becomes wet with dew. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”

Ḥadīth 6

6ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) الرَّجُلُ يَبُولُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ ثُمَّ يَسْتَنْجِي فَيُصِيبُ ثَوْبُهُ جَسَدَهُ وَهُوَ رَطْبٌ قَالَ لاَ بَأْسَ.

6. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Mu‘awiyah ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who urinates while he has experienced sexual relation. He then cleanses himself and his clothes touch his body while it is wet. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
