Al-Amālī

1 - حدثنا الشيخ الجليل أبو جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن موسى ابن بابويه القمي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه، قال: حدثنا علي ابن إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن أبيه، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن حماد، عن عبد الله بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن الحسين بن يزيد (1)، قال: سمعت أبا عبد الله الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام) يقول: يخرج رجل من ولد ابني موسى، اسمه اسم أمير المؤمنين (عليه السلام)، فيدفن في أرض طوس وهي بخراسان، يقتل فيها بالسم، فيدفن فيها غريبا، من زاره عارفا بحقه أعطاه الله عز وجل أجر من أنفق من قبل الفتح وقاتل (2).

Abu Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. Musa b. Babuwayh al-Qummi (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us from his father. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. Hammad narrated to us from `Abdullah b. Ibrahim from his father from al-Husayn b. Yazid. He said: I heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) say: A man will appear from the descendants of my son Musa. His name is the name of Amir al-Mu’minin (as). He will be buried in the land of Tus, which is in Khurasan. He will be killed with poison therein, and he will be buried therein as a stranger. Whoever visits him, recognizing his right, Allah will give him the reward of one who goes toward the conquest and fights.

2 - حدثنا أحمد بن زياد الهمداني (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم ابن هاشم، قال: حدثنا محمد بن عيسى بن عبيد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن سليمان البصري، عن أبيه، عن إبراهيم بن أبي حجر الاسلمي، قال: حدثنا قبيصة، عن جابر بن يزيد الجعفي، قال: سمعت وصي الاوصياء ووارث علم الانبياء أبا جعفر محمد بن علي ابن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب يقول: حدثني سيد العابدين علي بن الحسين، عن سيد الشهداء الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب، عن سيد الاوصياء أمير المؤمنين علي ابن أبي طالب (عليهم السلام)، قال: قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): ستدفن بضعة مني بخراسان، ما زارها مكروب إلا نفس الله كربته، ولا مذنب إلا غفر الله ذنوبه (1).

Ahmad b. Ziyad al-Hamadani (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Isa b. `Ubayd narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Sulayman al-Basri narrated to us from his father from Ibrahim b. Abi Hajar al-Aslami. He said: Qubaysa narrated to us from Jabir b. Yazid al-Ju`fi. He said: I heard the Deputy of Deputies and the Inheritor of the Knowledge of the Prophets Aba Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib say: The Master of Worshipers `Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to me from the Master of Martyrs al-Husayn b. `Ali b. Abi Talib from the Master of Deputies Amir al-Mu’minin `Ali b. Abi Talib (as): The Messenger of Allah (s) said: A part of me will be buried in Khurasan. No afflicted person will visit it except that Allah will ease his affliction, and no sinner except that Allah forgives his sins.

3 - حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثنا أحمد ابن محمد بن عيسى ومحمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي نصر البزنطي، قال: قرأت كتاب أبي الحسن الرضا (عليه السلام): أبلغ شيعتي أن زيارتي تعدل عند الله ألف حجة. قال: فقلت لابي جعفر ابنه (عليه السلام): ألف حجة؟ قال: إي والله، وألف ألف حجة لمن زاره عارفا بحقه (2).

My father (rh) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa and Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr al-Bazanti. He said: I read in a letter of Abi’l Hasan al-Rida (as): Announce to my Shi`a that a visitation of me is considered by Allah to be equal to one thousand Hajj. He said: I said to Abi Ja`far [al-Jawad] (as): One thousand Hajj? He said: Yes, by Allah. One million Hajj for one who visits him recognizing his right.

4 - حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، قال: حدثنا أحمد ابن محمد بن عيسى ومحمد بن الحسين بن أبي الخطاب، عن أحمد بن محمد بن أبي نصر البزنطي، قال: سمعت الرضا (عليه السلام) يقول: ما زارني أحد من أوليائي عارفا بحقي إلا شفعت فيه يوم القيامة (3).

My father (rh) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa and Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr al-Bazanti. He said: I heard al-Rida (as) say: Not one of my supporters visits me, knowing my right, except that I will intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.

5 - حدثنا علي بن عبد الله الوراق، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله بن أبي خلف، قال: حدثنا عمران بن موسى، عن الحسن بن علي بن النعمان، عن محمد بن فضيل بن غزوان (4) الضبي، قال: أخبرني عبد الرحمن بن إسحاق، عن النعمان بن سعد، قال: قال أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب (صلوات الله عليه): سيقتل رجل من ولدي بأرض خراسان بالسم ظلما، اسمه اسمي، واسم أبيه اسم ابن عمران موسى (عليه السلام)، ألا فمن زاره في غربته غفر الله ذنوبه ما تقدم منها وما تأخر، ولو كانت مثل عدد النجوم وقطر الامطار وورق الاشجار (1).

`Ali b. `Abdullah al-Warraq narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah b. Abi Khalaf narrated to us. He said: `Imran b. Musa narrated to us from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. al-Nu`man from Muhammad b. Fudayl b. Ghazwan al-Dabi. He said: `Abd al-Rahman b. Ishaq informed me from al-Nu`man b. Sa`d. He said: Amir al-Mu’minin `Ali b. Abi Talib (as) said: A man from my descendants will be killed oppressively with poison in the land of Khurasan. His name is my name, and the name of his father is the name of the son of `Imran, Musa (as). Surely, whoever visits him in his isolation, Allah will forgive his past and future sins, even if they are similar in number to the stars, rain droplets, and leaves on trees.

6 - حدثنا جعفر بن محمد، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن محمد، عن عمه عبد الله بن عامر، عن سليمان بن حفص المروزي، قال: سمعت أبا الحسن موسى بن جعفر (عليهما السلام) يقول: من زار قبر ولدي علي (عليه السلام) كان له عند الله عز وجل سبعون حجة مبرورة (2). قلت: سبعون حجة مبرورة؟ قال: نعم، وسبعون ألف حجة. قلت: سبعون ألف حجة مبرورة؟ قال: فقال: رب حجة لا تقبل، من زاره أو بات عنده ليلة كان كمن زار الله في عرشه. قلت: كمن زار الله في عرشه؟ قال: نعم إذا كان يوم القيامة كان على عرش الله جل جلاله أربعة من الاولين وأربعة من الآخرين، فأما الاولون: فنوح وإبراهيم وموسى وعيسى، وأما الاربعة الآخرون: فمحمد وعلي والحسن والحسين، ثم يمد المطمر (3)، فيقعد معنا زوار قبور الائمة، إلا أن أعلاها درجة وأقربهم حبوة (4) زوار قبر ولدي علي (عليه السلام) (5). قال الشيخ الفقيه أبو جعفر (رحمه الله): معنى قوله (عليه السلام): كان كمن زار الله في عرشه، ليس بتشبيه، لان الملائكة تزور العرش، وتلوذ به، وتطوف حوله، وتقول: نزور الله في عرشه، كما يقول الناس: نحج بيت الله، ونزور الله، لا أن الله عز وجل موصوف بمكان، تعالى عن ذلك علوا كبيرا (6).

Ja`far b. Muhammad narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad narrated to us from his uncle `Abdullah b. `Amer from Sulayman b. Hafs al-Maruzi. He said: I heard Aba’l Hasan Musa b. Ja`far (as) say: Whoever visits the grave of my son `Ali (as) will have the reward of seventy accepted Hajj. I said: Seventy accepted Hajj? He said: Yes, even seventy thousand Hajj. I said: Seventy thousand accepted Hajj? He said: So, he said: Perhaps a Hajj is not accepted. Whoever visits him or spends a night [there] with him, it is as though he visits Allah at His Throne. I said: As though he visits Allah at His Throne? He said: Yes. On the Day of Resurrection, on the Throne of Allah, there will be four from the former peoples and four from the latter peoples. As for the former peoples, they are Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, and `Isa. As for the latter peoples, they are Muhammad, `Ali, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn. Then, a rope will be extended, and those who visited the graves of the Imams will sit with us – but the highest of them in rank and the best of them in reward will be visitors of the grave of my son `Ali (as). The Shaykh and Jurist Abu Ja`far (rh) said: His (as) saying that “it is as though he visits Allah at His Throne” is not likening [Allah to His creation] (tashbih), because the angels visit the Throne, take shelter by it, circle around it, and they say: “We visit Allah at His Throne” – just as the people say: “We make pilgrimage to the House of Allah and we visit Allah” – not that Allah is described with a location, for He is high above that.

7 - حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن يحيى العطار (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أيوب بن نوح، قال: سمعت أبا جعفر محمد بن علي بن موسى (عليهم السلام) يقول: من زار قبر أبي (عليه السلام) بطوس غفر الله له ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر، فإذا كان يوم القيامة نصب له منبر بحذاء منبر رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) حتى يفرغ الله تعالى من حساب عباده (1).

Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar (rh) narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to us from Ayyub b. Nuh. He said: I heard Aba Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali b. Musa (as) say: Whoever visits the grave of my father (as) in Tus, Allah will forgive his past and future sins. On the Day of Resurrection, a pulpit will be installed for him near the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (s), until Allah finishes judging His servants.

8 - حدثنا الحسين بن إبراهيم بن ناتانه (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن أبي عمير، عن حمزة بن حمران، قال: قال أبو عبد الله (عليه السلام): يقتل حفدتي بأرض خراسان في مدينة يقال لها طوس، من زاره إليها عارفا بحقه أخذته بيدي يوم القيامة وأدخلته الجنة، وإن كان من أهل الكبائر. قلت: جعلت فداك، وما عرفان حقه؟ قال: يعلم أنه إمام مفترض الطاعة، غريب شهيد، من زاره عارفا بحقه أعطاه الله عز وجل أجر سبعين شهيدا ممن استشهد بين يدي رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) على حقيقة (2).

Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Natana (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Hamza b. Humran. He said: Abu `Abdillah (as) said: My grandson will be killed in Khurasan in a land called Tus. Whoever visits him, recognizing his right, he will take him by the hand on the Day of Resurrection and bring him into Paradise, even if he is from the people of major sins. I said: May I be your ransom! What is recognition of his right? He said: To know that he is the Imam whose obedience is obligatory, and that he is a stranger and a martyr. Whoever visits him, recognizing his right, Allah will give him the reward of seventy martyrs who were martyred in front of the Messenger of Allah (s) in truth.

9 - حدثنا علي بن أحمد بن موسى (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا محمد بن أبي عبد الله الكوفي، عن أحمد بن محمد بن صالح الرازي، عن حمدان الديواني، قال: قال الرضا (عليه السلام): من زارني على بعد داري أتيته يوم القيامة في ثلاثة مواطن حتى أخلصه من أهوالها: إذا تطايرت الكتب يمينا وشمالا، وعند الصراط، وعند الميزان (3).

`Ali b. Ahmad b. Musa (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdullah al-Kufi narrate to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Salih al-Razi from Hamdan al-Diwani. He said: Al-Rida (as) said: Whoever visits me despite the distance, I will meet him in three places on the Day of Resurrection so that I may deliver him from its terrors: (1) when the Book is given to his right and left hand, (2) at the Path, and (3) at the Scale.
