Ḥadīth 1

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِی بِخَیْرٍ مَا لَمْ یَتَخَاوَنُوا وَ أَدَّوُا الْأَمَانَهَ وَ آتَوُا الزَّکَاهَ وَ إِذَا لَمْ یَفْعَلُوا ذَلِکَ ابْتُلُوا بِالْقَحْطِ وَ السِّنِینَ.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “My Ummah will remain safe till they do not betray trust and return the things to their owners and pay Zakat. When they cease to do so, they will face famine and drought.”
