Ḥadīth 1

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ سُلَیْمَانَ بْنِ سَمَاعَهَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَاصِمٍ الْکُوفِیِّ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِیهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِذَا تضامت [تَصَامَّتْ] أُمَّتِی عَنْ سَائِلِهَا وَ مَشَتْ بِتَبَخْتُرِهَا حَلَفَ رَبِّی عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِعِزَّتِهِ فَقَالَ لَأُعَذِّبَنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “When my Ummah avoids beggars and walks proudly, Allah will swear by His honor and say: I will punish these people because of some of them.”
