119. Punishment of tyrants

حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَیْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ عُقْبَهَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُیَسِّرٍ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ فِی جَهَنَّمَ لَجَبَلًا یُقَالُ لَهُ الصُّعَدَاءُ وَ إِنَّ فِی الصُّعَدَاءِ لَوَادِیاً یُقَالُ لَهُ سَقَرُ وَ إِنَّ فِی سَقَرَ لَجُبّاً یُقَالُ لَهُ هَبْهَبُ کُلَّمَا کُشِفَ غِطَاءُ ذَلِکَ الْجُبِّ ضَجَّ أَهْلُ النَّارِ مِنْ حَرِّهِ وَ ذَلِکَ مَنَازِلُ الْجَبَّارِینَ.


1. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) said, “Surely there is a mountain in Hell called Sada, which has a valley called Saqar, which has a well called Hab-hab. As soon as the lid of this well was lifted, the entire Hell was engulfed in flames. This is the abode of tyrants.”
