Swallowing ones spit for the respect of mosque
2 Aḥadīth
Ḥadīth 1

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْیَرِیُّ عَنِ السِّنْدِیِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ طَلْحَهَ بْنِ زَیْدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ رَدَّ رِیقَهُ تَعْظِیماً لِحَقِّ الْمَسْجِدِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ رِیقَهُ صِحَّهً فِی بَدَنِهِ وَ عُوفِیَ مِنْ بَلْوَی فِی جَسَدِهِ.

1. It is narrated from Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who swallows his spit out of respect of mosque Allah makes his mouth the cause of safety of his body and no harm would be caused to his body.”

Ḥadīth 2

أَبِی ره عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ [عَنْ] عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: مَنْ تَنَخَّعَ فِی مَسْجِدٍ ثُمَّ رَدَّهَا فِی جَوْفِهِ لَمْ تَمُرَّ بِدَاءٍ إِلَّا أَبْرَأَتْهُ.

2. Abi (rah) from Abdillah b. Ja’far from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Ahmad from his father [from] Abdillah b. Sinan from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said: “One who does not spit in mosque and swallows it, would soon be cured of the disease from which he is suffering.”
