Al-Kāfi - Volume 2 > One’s Saying: “O Lord, O Lord”
Hadith #1

1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ الْحُرِّ أَخِي أُدَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ قِيلَ لَهُ لَبَّيْكَ مَا حَاجَتُكَ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ayyub ibn al-Hurr brother of ‘Udaym from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Whoever says ten times, ‘O Lord.’ It will be said to him, “Your call for help is well heard and noted. What kind of help do you need?’”



Hadith #2

2ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ جَمِيعاً عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُمْرَانَ قَالَ مَرِضَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قُلْ يَا رَبِّ يَا رَبِّ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ مَنْ قَالَ ذَلِكَ نُودِيَ لَبَّيْكَ مَا حَاجَتُكَ.

2. Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father all have narrated from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Muhammad ibn Humran who has said the following: “When Isma’il son of abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) became ill, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) told him to say, ‘Ten times; O Lord.’ Whoever says this will be called, ‘Your call is heard and well noticed, ask what kind of help do you need?”’



Hadith #3

3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ يَا رَبِّ يَا الله يَا رَبِّ يَا الله حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ نَفَسُهُ قِيلَ لَهُ لَبَّيْكَ مَا حَاجَتُكَ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Mu’awiyah from abu Basir from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Whoever says, ‘O Lord, O Allah, for one full breath, it is said to him, “Your call is heard and well noticed, ask what kind of help do you need?”’
