وَإِذَا

مَرُّوا

بِهِمْ

يَتَغَامَزُونَ

wa-ʾidhā marrū bihim yataghāmazūna

and when they passed them by they would wink at each other,

— Ali Quli Qarai

And whenever they passed by them, used to wink at each other (in mockery);
