Al Anfāl (The Spoils of War)

ٱلْأَنْفَال

8:13

dhālika bi-ʾannahum shāqqū llāha wa-rasūlahū wa-man yushāqiqi llāha wa-rasūlahū fa-ʾinna llāha shadīdu l-ʿiqābi

That, because they defied Allah and His Apostle. And whoever defies Allah and His Apostle, Allah is indeed severe in retribution.

ٱلْأَنْفَال

That

ذَٰلِكَ

(is) because they

بِأَنَّهُمۡ

opposed

شَآقُّواْ

Allah

ٱللَّهَ

and His Messenger

وَرَسُولَهُۥۚ

And whoever

وَمَن

opposes

يُشَاقِقِ

Allah

ٱللَّهَ

and His Messenger

وَرَسُولَهُۥ

then indeed

فَإِنَّ

Allah

ٱللَّهَ

(is) severe

شَدِيدُ

in [the] penalty

ٱلۡعِقَابِ

That

ذَٰلِكَ

(is) because they

بِأَنَّهُمۡ

opposed

Allah

ٱللَّهَ
