الأعراف
al-A‘rāf (The Elevations)
ٱلْأَعْرَاف
7:70
قَالُوا
أَجِئْتَنَا
لِنَعْبُدَ
اللَّهَ
وَحْدَهُ
وَنَذَرَ
مَا
كَانَ
يَعْبُدُ
آبَاؤُنَا
فَأْتِنَا
بِمَا
تَعِدُنَا
إِن
كُنتَ
مِنَ
الصَّادِقِينَ
qālū ʾa-jiʾtanā li-naʿbuda llāha waḥdahū wa-nadhara mā kāna yaʿbudu ʾābāʾunā fa-ʾtinā bi-mā taʿidunā ʾin kunta mina ṣ-ṣādiqīna
They said, "Have you come to make us worship God alone and give up what our fathers worshipped? If you are truthful, let the torment with which you have threatened us, strike us".
