al-A‘rāf (The Elevations)
ٱلْأَعْرَاف
7:179
وَلَقَدْ
ذَرَأْنَا
لِجَهَنَّمَ
كَثِيرًا
مِّنَ
الْجِنِّ
وَالْإِنسِ
لَهُمْ
قُلُوبٌ
لَّا
يَفْقَهُونَ
بِهَا
وَلَهُمْ
أَعْيُنٌ
لَّا
يُبْصِرُونَ
بِهَا
وَلَهُمْ
آذَانٌ
لَّا
يَسْمَعُونَ
بِهَا
أُولَئِكَ
كَالْأَنْعَامِ
بَلْ
هُمْ
أَضَلُّ
أُولَئِكَ
هُمُ
الْغَافِلُونَ
wa-la-qad dharaʾnā li-jahannama kathīran mina l-jinni wa-l-ʾinsi lahum qulūbun lā yafqahūna bihā wa-lahum ʾaʿyunun lā yubṣirūna bihā wa-lahum ʾādhānun lā yasmaʿūna bihā ʾulāʾika ka-l-ʾanʿāmi bal hum ʾaḍallu ʾulāʾika humu l-ghāfilūna
We have destined many men and jinn for hell. They have hearts but do not understand, eyes but do not see. They have ears but do not hear. They are worse than lost cattle. These are the heedless ones.
