لَا

يَسْمَعُونَ

فِيهَا

لَغْوًا

وَلَا

تَأْثِيمًا

lā yasmaʿūna fīhā laghwan wa-lā taʾthīman

Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,-

— Abdullah Yusufali

They will not hear therein any vain talk or sinful speech,
