al-Nisā’ (Women)
ٱلنِّسَاء
4:89
وَدُّوا
لَوْ
تَكْفُرُونَ
كَمَا
كَفَرُوا
فَتَكُونُونَ
سَوَاءً
فَلَا
تَتَّخِذُوا
مِنْهُمْ
أَوْلِيَاءَ
حَتَّى
يُهَاجِرُوا
فِي
سَبِيلِ
اللَّهِ
فَإِن
تَوَلَّوْا
فَخُذُوهُمْ
وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ
حَيْثُ
وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ
وَلَا
تَتَّخِذُوا
مِنْهُمْ
وَلِيًّا
وَلَا
نَصِيرًا
waddū law takfurūna ka-mā kafarū fa-takūnūna sawāʾan fa-lā tattakhidhū minhum ʾawliyāʾa ḥattā yuhājirū fī sabīli llāhi fa-ʾin tawallaw fa-khudhūhum wa-qtulūhum ḥaythu wajadtumūhum wa-lā tattakhidhū minhum waliyyan wa-lā naṣīran
They wish you to become unbelievers as they themselves are. Do not establish friendship with them until they have abandoned their homes for the cause of God. If they betray you, seize them and slay them wherever you find them. Do not establish friendship with them or seek their help
