[Pooya/Ali Commentary 37:1] Wa (and) is a conjunction, a word that connects sentences, clauses, and words, but it has been used in the Quran for several purposes. In these verses it has been used as an adjuration to witness the truth of a solemn affirmation and to emphasise that affirmation. It is a solemn appeal to a person or persons to believe in the important statements, made in these verses, on the basis of sublime and out of the ordinary evidence. Wa has been used here to assert, with special emphasis, the truth of that which is presented in order to render null and void expected rejection, if any. Are the doers of the three things noted in these verses the same persons, or are they three distinct sets of persons? In either case, who are they? Many commentators take them to refer to angels and good men, the men of God, who strive and range themselves in Allah's service, defend truth and destroy the power base of evil, whenever necessary, and proclaim the truth of the word of Allah. Some commentators add "Lord of" in every verse, in which case wa becomes an oath, an invocation in the name of Allah, to assert the truth. In sinlessness and infallibility, according to the Quran, the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt, in addition to other prophets of Allah, are the only men of God. As per verses 33 of Al Ahzab and 61 of Ali Imran, they are the only "human beings" thoroughly purified. They are not only as pure and holy as the angels are but also stand high and above the angels in rank and honour, according to the commentary of Baqarah: 30 to 39. By becoming aware of the existence of the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt Adam was declared superior to the angels who, when commanded by Allah, fell prostrate before him. So no other human being can be joined with the holy and pure angels in these verses as men of God except the Holy Prophet and his Ahl ul Bayt, because as said in Fatir: 19 to 22:- "Alike are not the blind and those who can see, nor darkness and light, nor shade and heat, nor the living and the dead." So the pure and the impure cannot be joined by the just and wise Lord together.

وہ فرشتے جو انجام اُمور کے لیے آمادہ رہتے ہیں۔

یہ قرآن مجید کی وہ پہلی سُورہ ہے جس کا آغاز قسم سے ہوتاہے . اس کی پر معنی اورفکرانگیز قسمیں انسان کی فکر کواپنے ساتھ اس جہان کے مختلف گوشوں کی طرف کھینچ لے جاتی ہیں اورحقائق قبول کرنے پر آمادہ کرتی ہیں ۔ یہ ٹھیک ہے کہ خدا سب سے بڑھ کرراست گو ہے اوراسے قسم کھانے کی کوئی ضرورت نہیں ہے . علاوہ ازیں اگر قسم مو منین کے لیے ہو تووہ قسم کے بغیر بھی سرتسلیم خم کے ہوئے ہیں اوراگر منکرین کے لیے ہے تووہ خدا کی قسموں پر اعتقاد ہی نہیں رکھتے ۔ لیکن قرآن کی تمام آیات میں جن سے اس کے بعد ہمیں کبھی کبھی واسط بڑے گا ،دونکات کی طرف توجہ سے قسم کا مسئلہ واضح ہوجائے گا ۔ پہلا یہ کہ قسم ہمیشہ قابل ِ قدر اوراہم امورکے بار ے میں کھائی جاتی ہے .اس بناء پر قرآنی قسمیں ان امور کی عظمت اوراہمیّت کی دلیل ہیں کہ جن کی قسم کھائی گئی ہے اور ایہی امر ” مقسم بہ “ یعنی وہ چیز جس کی قسم کھائی گئی ہے کے بار ے میں زیادہ سے زیادہ غور و فکر کاسبب بنتاہے . ایسا غور و فکر جو انسان کونئے حقائق سے آشنا کرتا ہے۔ دوسرا یہ کہ قسم ہمیشہ تاکید کے لیے ہوتی ہے اوراس امر کی دلیل ہوتی ہے کہ وہ امور جن کے لیے قسم کھائی جارہی ہے ایسے ہیں کہ جن کے بار ے میں تاکید شدید ہے۔ اس سے قطع نظرجس وقت کہنے والا اپنی بات کو دوٹوک طریقے سے بیان کرے تو نفسیاتی طور پر سننے والے کے دل پر زیادہ اثر اندازہوتی ہے .لہذا قرآن کی ہر قسم مومنین کوزیادہ قوی اورمنکر ین کوزیادہ نرم کردیتی ہے ۔ بہرحال وہ اس سورہ کی ابتداء میں ہمیں تین نام ملتے ہیں جن کی قسم کھائی گئی ہے ( ۱) ۔ پہلے فر ماتاہے : قسم ہے ان کی جوصف باندھے ہوئے ہیں اورجنہوںنے اپنی صفوں کومنظم کیاہوا ہے (وَ الصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا) ۔

سوره صافات / آیه 1 - 5

بِسْمِ اللَّہِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحیمِ ۱۔ وَ الصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا ۔ ۲ ۔ فَالزَّاجِراتِ زَجْراً ۔ ۳۔فَالتَّالِیاتِ ذِکْراً ۔ ۴۔ إِنَّ إِلہَکُمْ لَواحِدٌ ۔ ۵۔رَبُّ السَّماواتِ وَ الْاٴَرْضِ وَ ما بَیْنَہُما وَ رَبُّ الْمَشارِق. ترجمہ رحمن و رحیم خدا کے نا م سے ۱۔ قسم ہے صف باندھ کرکھڑے ہونے والوں کی ( جواپنی صفوں کومنظمرکھے ہوئے ہیں ) ۔ ۲۔ پھرقسم ہے اُن کی جوسختی کے ساتھ منع کرتے ہیں ( اور روک دیتے ہیں ) ۔ ۳۔ وہی کہ جوپے در پے ذکر ( الہٰی ) کی تلاوت کرتے ہیں ۔ ۴۔ تمہار امعبود یقینا یکتاہے۔ ۵ ۔ وہ آسمانوں کابھی رب ہے اورزمین کابھی اورجوکچھ ان کے درمیان ہے ان کا بھی اور وہ مشارق کا رب ہے۔

The actions are always to be judged by immutable standard of right and wrong, but judgment will consider age, country, station, and other accidental circumstances. Judgment is like a pair of scales and evidence is like weights, and Divine Will shall hold the balance, with a slight jerk of a proof of Divine affection and of Divine Lights, it will be sufficient in many cases to make the lighter scale appear the heavier. Never forget the Day of Judgment. Keep it always in view and frame your actions and plans with a reference to its unchanging decision (depending on Divine Love and of Divine Lights). Love implies obedience – (note carefully) acts due to admixture of filthy earth may be liable, yet proof of Divine Love, causing mental pain for their issue and penance may lead judgment to relaxation.
