فَتَبَسَّمَ
ضَاحِكًا
مِّن
قَوْلِهَا
وَقَالَ
رَبِّ
أَوْزِعْنِي
أَنْ
أَشْكُرَ
نِعْمَتَكَ
الَّتِي
أَنْعَمْتَ
عَلَيَّ
وَعَلَى
وَالِدَيَّ
وَأَنْ
أَعْمَلَ
صَالِحًا
تَرْضَاهُ
وَأَدْخِلْنِي
بِرَحْمَتِكَ
فِي
عِبَادِكَ
الصَّالِحِينَ
fa-tabassama ḍāḥikan min qawlihā wa-qāla rabbi ʾawziʿnī ʾan ʾashkura niʿmataka llatī ʾanʿamta ʿalayya wa-ʿalā wālidayya wa-ʾan ʾaʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa-ʾadkhilnī bi-raḥmatika fī ʿibādika ṣ-ṣāliḥīna
So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants."

Whereat he smiled, amused at its words, and he said, ‘My Lord! Inspire me to give thanks for Your blessing with which You have blessed me and my parents, and that I may do righteous deeds which please You, and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.’
