al-Nūr (The Light)
ٱلنُّور
24:6
وَالَّذِينَ
يَرْمُونَ
أَزْوَاجَهُمْ
وَلَمْ
يَكُن
لَّهُمْ
شُهَدَاءُ
إِلَّا
أَنفُسُهُمْ
فَشَهَادَةُ
أَحَدِهِمْ
أَرْبَعُ
شَهَادَاتٍ
بِاللَّهِ
إِنَّهُ
لَمِنَ
الصَّادِقِينَ
wa-lladhīna yarmūna ʾazwājahum wa-lam yakun lahum shuhadāʾu ʾillā ʾanfusuhum fa-shahādatu ʾaḥadihim ʾarbaʿu shahādātin bi-llāhi ʾinnahū la-mina ṣ-ṣādiqīna
Those who accuse their spouses of committing adultery but have no witness except themselves, should testify four times saying, "God is my witness that I am telling the truth".
