al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)

ٱلْحَجّ

22:40

الَّذِينَ

أُخْرِجُوا

مِن

دِيَارِهِم

بِغَيْرِ

حَقٍّ

إِلَّا

أَن

يَقُولُوا

رَبُّنَا

اللَّهُ

وَلَوْلَا

دَفْعُ

اللَّهِ

النَّاسَ

بَعْضَهُم

بِبَعْضٍ

لَّهُدِّمَتْ

صَوَامِعُ

وَبِيَعٌ

وَصَلَوَاتٌ

وَمَسَاجِدُ

يُذْكَرُ

فِيهَا

اسْمُ

اللَّهِ

كَثِيرًا

وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ

اللَّهُ

مَن

يَنصُرُهُ

إِنَّ

اللَّهَ

لَقَوِيٌّ

عَزِيزٌ

alladhīna ʾukhrijū min diyārihim bi-ghayri ḥaqqin ʾillā ʾan yaqūlū rabbunā llāhu wa-law-lā dafʿu llāhi n-nāsa baʿḍahum bi-baʿḍin la-huddimat ṣawāmiʿu wa-biyaʿun wa-ṣalawātun wa-masājidu yudhkaru fīhā smu llāhi kathīran wa-la-yanṣuranna llāhu man yanṣuruhū ʾinna llāha la-qawiyyun ʿazīzun-i

to those who were unjustly expelled from their homes only because they said, "God is our Lord." Had it not been for God's repelling some people through the might of the others, the monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which God is very often worshipped would have been utterly destroyed. God shall certainly help those who help Him. He is All-powerful and Majestic.
