al-Baqarah (The Cow)
ٱلْبَقَرَة
2:86
أُولَئِكَ
الَّذِينَ
اشْتَرَوُا
الْحَيَاةَ
الدُّنْيَا
بِالْآخِرَةِ
فَلَا
يُخَفَّفُ
عَنْهُمُ
الْعَذَابُ
وَلَا
هُمْ
يُنصَرُونَ
ʾulāʾika lladhīna shtarawu l-ḥayāta d-dunyā bi-l-ʾākhirati fa-lā yukhaffafu ʿanhumu l-ʿadhābu wa-lā hum yunṣarūna
They have traded the life hereafter in exchange for their worldly life. Their punishment will not be eased nor will they receive help.
