ٱلْبَقَرَة
2:101
وَلَمَّا
جَاءَهُمْ
رَسُولٌ
مِّنْ
عِندِ
اللَّهِ
مُصَدِّقٌ
لِّمَا
مَعَهُمْ
نَبَذَ
فَرِيقٌ
مِّنَ
الَّذِينَ
أُوتُوا
الْكِتَابَ
كِتَابَ
اللَّهِ
وَرَاءَ
ظُهُورِهِمْ
كَأَنَّهُمْ
لَا
يَعْلَمُونَ
wa-lammā jāʾahum rasūlun min ʿindi llāhi muṣaddiqun li-mā maʿahum nabadha farīqun mina lladhīna ʾūtū l-kitāba kitāba llāhi warāʾa ẓuhūrihim ka-ʾannahum lā yaʿlamūna
When a Messenger of God came to them confirming the (original) revelation that they already had received, a group of those who had the Scripture with them, threw the Book of God behind their backs as if they did not know anything about it.
